When I want to see a movie, whether or not it has swords isn’t usually the deciding factor. I am a sword collector, but there are other things that I enjoy, too. Serenity is a space western, and that’s one of my favorite films. Still, when I think about it, most of the films I see do have swords in them – from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings. Movie swords have a certain magic about them, and that is probably why they have become such great collector’s items in recent years. Some of the most impressive movie swords are the ones designed originally by WETA for the Lord of the Rings movies. Those LOTR replicas have gone on to sell untold amounts of replicas, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. There are swords from Eragon, Kill Bill, Braveheart, and just about every other feature film to feature a sword in recent years.
