Gum Disease Problems Can Be Caused By Infection
December 7th, 2007
It is an infection that ultimately causes gum disease problems. Anaerobic bacteria (they thrive in low-oxygenated environments) are always present in the human mouth and they are what lead to the infection responsible for gum disease and bad breath. Although there are always anaerobic bacteria present in the mouth, they do not cause bad breath, infections, or gum disease problems unless their population levels grow too large.
