Ginger – Food and Medicine

Ginger that we use in so many recipes both sweet and savory also has medicinal uses.

For many centuries ginger has been used to treat medical complaints including:-

  • stimulating breast milk production
  • preventing bloat and aiding digestion
  • relieving nausea
  • relieve menstrual cramps
  • easing muscular aches and pains - anti-inflammatory
  • relieving cough and flu symptoms
  • bad breath - mouth freshener
