Distance learning programs have grown in popularity at an incredible rate over the past several years. Perhaps the most important thing to consider when searching out a distance learning program is to make sure the college is accredited. One such college that has been considered the leader in online distance learning is University of Phoenix. As one of the originators of online teaching University of Phoenix has become perhaps the best known of the online colleges, though most major colleges and universities now offer some type of distance learning.
